We’re excited here at LAPS as we’ve welcomed 3 new members to the team!
All 3 have been involved in professional sport and we’re pleased to welcome them to the fold. They understand the possibilities and challenges of sporting careers and they’ll be of great value to our members with their expertise of how athletes can be best served in preparing for Life After Professional Sport.
Ben Mercer is a former rugby player turned writer who is going to head up our content. Ben achieved a degree in English from Newcastle University before playing professionally in England and France. He’s a keen reader, an aspiring chef and has written a book about life as a pro outside the top tier of professional rugby.
Former Saracens and England rugby player Hannah Gallagher is coming in as our Member Support Manager, where she’ll be first port of call for our athletes. Even though she’s retired from rugby, Hannah is still super active, running a personal training business as well as bouldering and playing junkyard golf whenever possible.
Adam Campbell is combining playing football for Darlington with his role as Partner Support Manager and will be particularly helpful for our friends in the North of England. Adam plays a fair bit of golf and chills out with reality TV or at the cinema.
We’ve had a well-catered group kickoff day in Cambridge and are excited about the journey ahead.
