LAPS welcomes James Tarkowski

LAPS are excited to announce that Everton vice-captain James Tarkowski has invested in LAPS and joined our Advisory Board.

James, who has played over 300 Premier League games, and been capped by England, has been a LAPS member since 2016 and commented:

“I’ve been a LAPS member since it first launched nearly 10 years ago. I’ve found the platform really helpful for making my own plans for life after football, and know of several former teammates who have started successful new careers with LAPS’ help. When I heard from [LAPS founder] Robbie Simpson about their plans to grow the business I knew I wanted to get involved.”

We started our search for 3 new investors earlier this year, and as LAPS founder Robbie Simpson explained, we’re now eager to speak with other people who might like to get involved:

“We have ambitious plans to grow LAPS, adding some exciting features to our member platform and increasing the number of businesses we work with to offer career opportunities to athletes. At the same time, we’re setting up an Advisory Board to support that growth, and our first priority for that Board was an elite athlete, so we’re massively excited to have James on board. We’re now keen to speak to potential investors with a business background.”
