Next month, on 14th October, we’re delighted to be attending IHRE21 Summit Birmingham Hybrid as exhibitors and speakers.
IHRE21 Summit is designed for sourcing and resourcing practitioners, Corporate Recruiters and HRD Professionals. Here at LAPS, we support athletes transitioning into new careers, so IHRE21 Summit is a great fit for us.
There’s a 90 second video on IHRE21 here
Our seminar session, will be led by our very own Holly Wood. The session is titled ‘How to Attract Career Changers’ and begins at 9.30am.
Holly is a career changer herself. She played rugby league for England and rugby union in the Premiership for Richmond and Harlequins before finishing off her playing career with Toulouse in the French Top 14. On retiring Holly has taken up refereeing, where she has progressed quickly onto the National Panel with the RFU, and she works with us here at LAPS.
As a former athlete, Holly understands the challenges that transition can present but also how rewarding a career change can be. She’s been finding out first-hand how all of the skills an athlete develops throughout their career can be successfully taken into business. She will discuss the importance of identifying transferable skill sets that will easily transition into a new career, along with how athletes are able to thrive in new environments due being coachable, resilient and possessing goal-driven mindsets.
Come and see us at IHRE21 Summit, we look forward to seeing you in person!
We’ll be on stand 30.
