Terry Moor Promotion

Given that we work in sport, nothing makes us happier than a promotion – so we’re delighted to share the news with you that Terry Moor has been promoted to Head of Partnerships and Events here at LAPS!

Terry joined the team in January 2018 and has worked tirelessly ever since to build new partnerships and ensure that all our events are well supported and go off without a hitch. He’s been involved with many of our activities over the last year, including the Athlete Futures roadshows, the Play it Forward workshop series and the recently staged Ahead of the Game recruitment event at the Etihad Stadium. Always the first at his desk and the last to leave, Terry really does put his work first and we’re all very grateful for his hard work and experience.

Terry has worked extensively in sales and recruitment, taking a personal interest in finding employment for people since his very early career, and has a genuine commitment to supporting sports professionals to transition into new and rewarding careers after sport. He is well aware of the challenges facing elite athletes beyond their sporting careers, particularly around mental health issues, and is dedicated to providing them with as many opportunities as possible.

Outside work, Terry is an avid Leeds Utd fan, and used to be a season ticket holder. He describes himself as a “failed footballer and cricketer,” having reached the heights of 1st team captain for Ely (or, dogsbody, as he puts it.) He also loves live music, and attempting to convince his incredibly lazy golden retriever to get off the sofa and go for walks.

We’d like to congratulate Terry on his well-deserved promotion, and look forward to seeing his hard work continue to pay off in the future, helping many more sports professionals to find exciting new careers after sport.
