Our latest video interview is now available for members to view on the LAPS platform, and this time its with former ice hockey player Marc Twaite, who hasn’t moved too far away from sport in his new career as a professional angler and bait manufacturer. During his sporting career, Marc played hockey at the highest level for Great Britain, although his career was cut short by an injury during a training session, which at the time was life threatening.
During his interview, Marc talks about some of the struggles that so many professional sports people and elite athletes suffer when their careers come to an end, sudden or otherwise, but he also mentions how his determination and personal attributes have helped him to thrive in a new career. Marc’s passion for angling was something which helped him through some of the darker times upon leaving the world of hockey, and is genuinely delighted that it can now provide his livelihood.
Below is a short preview of our interview with Marc. The full version is available to view for LAPS members, who can watch it by logging in to the LAPS platform now. For those who aren’t already members, registration is completely free for any current of former sports professional or elite athlete, and it can be done by clicking here.
