LAPS are delighted to welcome members to attend the first of our careers seminars. This would be perfect for any of our members who are interested in taking on a career in finance or technology, and enjoying a fast-paced, lucrative and rewarding career. This promises to be an unmissable event, and whats more – its completely free to attend. All you need to do is visit the members area of the LAPS website, which can be done by signing in here. If you haven’t already joined, then any current or former sports professional or elite athlete can do so by visiting the registration section of our website.
The seminar will be on the 28th September, starting at 6pm in the high profile business district of London, Canary Wharf. It will be hosted by Level39, in conjunction with our friends at the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. Level39 are the world’s most connected technology company, and they support the fast growth of fellow technology companies in three clear ways, by giving them access to world-class talent, infrastructure and customers. In addition to world-class insight and advice from a company such as Level39, we will also be welcoming a guest speaker, Phil Ogilvie. Phil initially pursued a sporting career, and made his name by playing professional rugby at the highest level with Saracens, although his career was cut short aged only 21 due to injury. Since his rugby career came to an end, Phil has since moved into technology, and currently holds the position of Head of Sales at prestigious tech company Kalypton.
