2017 Player Care Conference

LAPS are delighted that we will be featured at the 2017 Player Care Conference, hosted by the Premier Sports Network. The conference is an event which is exclusively inviting delegates from the world of player welfare, and it will allow for discussion about international best practice with a range of influential figures in a close-knit environment. In addition to LAPS, the conference will host speakers from companies such as Gamble Aware, Sporting Chance, and the players trust, as well as influential figures from the world of football, rugby, tennis and cricket.

The event, which will take place on the 11th October will allow us to reach out to other members of the player welfare sector, so that we can improve the support we provide to our members. The schedule of the conference, which will be hosted by Adam Leventhal of Sky Sports, will include lectures on a range of topics including how player welfare has evolved over the years, the challenges of re-location, how player welfare is handled across a range of sports (which will include an insight into the NFL), and will finish with a number of talks on Life After Professional Sport, including one which will feature our founder Robbie Simpson.
